Custom dresser and cabinet for a little girl’s bedroom
These pieces were made in northern Vermont around 1910. A little girl’s parents picked them out of our inventory and had a color sample they wanted to coordinate with bedding for the crib and changing table pad. Susan created a custom mix and used a multi-layered technique to create a special finish for them. The dresser features four drawers with a French graphic inside each and the small cabinet provides storage underneath and is the right size for changing the little one.

“1750’s” Bench…………sold
This bench was made by Gary (with lots of help from Jim!) in the October Cottage wood shop. The wood was reclaimed from a Newburyport house built in 1750, hand-planed, and assembled into a solid and functional piece. Susan’s custom finish maintains the charm of the original wood while providing a uniquely smooth feel. Benches of this type can be custom made to order in a variety of dimensions and with various leg details. Look for upcoming projects with original 1750 square cut nails from the local blacksmith, reclaimed from the same source.
